I know it's the preseason but still...

Hey, guys.

So, I've been following the preseason quite a bit and I'm not happy at all with how the Jets have been doing...

I know, it's only the preseason but it's driving me nuts! The Jets have not won a SINGLE game. Does this grind anyone else's gears? Look, I get it, it's the preseason, but still! Micheal Hutchinson, who is supposed to be the Jets future starting goaltender lets in six goals the other day against Minnesota! Are you serious right now?

I'm probably going to get  a lot of flack for this post but thats fine, and everyone I talk to has said "Relax, it's only the preseason."  I guess you could say I'm that guy who is worried that if the team is crappy in the preseason then they will be crappy in the regular season, you know, during the games that actually matter. With the Jets just squeaking their way into the Stanley Cup Playoffs last year, the expectations will be high of the players, and playing in the Central division certainly won't help either.

So, lets hear from you guys! How well do you think the Winnipeg Jets will do this year? I'm hoping for the playoffs and hopefully this time they win a game instead of getting swept, and hey, and advancement to the next round would be nice too.

Oh, and remember only 9 more days until hockey starts back up again! GO JETS GO!

Until next time guys!

Yeah, I'm still sour over that.

Hey, guys!

Today, I'm going to be talking about trades. One trade that I'm a bit sour about (even though it was two years ago) was the trade of my favourite goalie, Roberto Luongo from the Vancouver Canucks to the Florida Panthers. To me, Luongo was my favourite goalie in the NHL. The reason I was so upset over this trade was because the Canucks got nothing for him, and that previous summer they traded Cory Schneider to the New Jersey Devils.

HOW CAN A GENERAL MANGER DO THIS TO A POTENTIAL STANLEY CUP CONTENDER?

After the trade things have only been downhill for Vancouver. The Luongo trade happened in March of 2014, then in July 2014 Ryan Kesler, another star player for Vancouver was traded to Anaheim. Which inevitably started the hashtag on Twitter "#FireGillis" who at the time, was the general manger for the Canucks. immediately after the Kesler trade, Gillis was fired and replaced by Vanocouver Canucks alumni, Trevor Linden. However, since the replacement of Gillis with Linden he brought a new star goaltender, Ryan Miller from St. Louis. He isn't Luongo, but he does a somewhat decent job, I guess. Orca Bay, the company that owns the Canucks stated "We are in the process of a rebuild of this franchise." I'm seeing lots of talk, but no action. This past summer another Canucks star player was traded to Anaheim, Kevin Bieksa.

Four years ago, Vancouver was battling the Boston Bruins for the Stanley Cup, but unfortunately lost in game 7 in Vancouver.

Now, I would consider the Canucks lucky even if they could make it into the playoffs.

But, with all they trading they're doing, theres also hope for a better tomorrow.

Now, I want to hear from YOU! What trade/ trades still leaves a bad taste in your mouth? Comment below!

Anyways, thanks fro reading!

Hey, guys!

Today I'm going to talk about something big on philanthropy side in the NHL today. Now, for those of you who haven't heard, P.K Subban defenseman for the Montreal Canadiens agreed to make a 10 million dollar donation to the Montreal General Children's Hospital over the next 7 years.

Now, a lot of NHL fans either love Subban or hate him, as a Habs fan myself, I have big smile on my face, and I love him that much more. I think this is great for Subban and the Montreal Canadiens as a team. I mean, come on! How could you hate a guy for doing such an amazing thing?

I think this might be one of the biggest, if not the biggest donation to a medical institution in Canadian history. Because of this amazing donation, the Montreal General Children's Hosptial has renamed the Atrium after P.K. Subban! How incredible is that? Bottom line, love him or hate him, you have to have a big amount of respect for the guy after this.

I will also post the link from NHL.com so you guys can read the whole article. Also, I want to hear from you guys, do you think philanthropic work adds to a players respect level? Or do you think these guys should just stick to playing hockey?

Comment below!

And thanks again for reading!

See you next week!
